To close the month of March, here I present a few cakes I made for the special people this month.
grandma's birthday
boyfriend's birthday - he wanted pandan kaya layered cake
girlfriend's birthday - she loves red velvet & a must to let her get high on chocolates
for the boyfriend's family. they have 3 march babies!!!

Tomorrow is April 1st and that makes it 55 more days to Engagement! I am seriously the worst person ever when it comes to prepare the necessary preparations for this event. Like right now I only have the naked dulangs and watch. The rest? Not settled. I thought I would be the oh-so-kanchiong person but I was wrong. Slack gila lah aku….. tengok aje nanti, last minute nak stress-stress. HAHAHAH!
The least weekends was spent by going to weddings. Both weddings were on the budget side. Eh I’m not looking down ok (just in case). In fact, how I wish I could do it. Spend maybe less than 10k or even lesser for wedding. Then I can go on an endless shopping spree during honeymoon! Lalalalala~~~~
The Saturday wedding was really ghetto, (chey ghetto sehhh… actually I don’t know how to describe it). The pelamin was in the house (like zaman dulu-dulu) and the reception was under the block. It was really really simple. Like my father say, macam orang buat kenduri sunat. Sampai ke situ pulak eh bapak aku ni. But there is one thing I can never find fault with…. THE FOOD! Ohmygosh lah, the food SEDAP NAK MAMPUS SEH!
They serve Nasi Ambeng style.

- Bagedil
- Serunding
- Sambal belacan mangga
Like oh my gosh lah kan. MY FAVOURITE FOOD OK! AND AND IT IS SOOO SOOO SEDAP. Especially the bagedil and serunding. Ughhh…. I’m such a sucker for potatoes – a potato freak. That have got to be the best wedding food I’ve eaten so far.
See…. Wedding budget tapi makanan sedap. Nak lawan pe? I really dislike those fancy-fancy wedding but the food just meh…. Perut lagi important. Coz I personally think that me as a guest will remember the food more than the deco. Well, that is just me.
The Sunday wedding is at Lagun Sari. Ya I know I said budget weddings but to think back, this budget-budget pun sampai 17k seh (I’ve got inside info. Shhhhh….). Fuhhhhh…… what you’d expect? You hire them, they settle everything for you. No fuss. From the venue (which is Lagun Sari itself) to décor to food to cake to berkats and I’m not sure if there is anything else.
For me, I won’t choose Lagun Sari as my choice, mainly because of the location. It is so not accessible and so sempit. The food to me was also ok-ok only. Décor…. Also ok only lah. The basics.
Well, I’ve got to go. And you guessed it! Blogging during working hours… Shhhhh…..
