The Wedding Part 2

and here it is... The Majlis / Lunch Reception

So arriving at SPGG, we both headed to the meeting room provided for us to change to our nikah outfits. We had a quick bite and drinks before headed out for Hadang.

Usually hadang is held when a couple have separate receptions, the groom and entourage will be coming down to the bride's. There will be  number of "gates" he gotta pass through before he can see the bride. We both wanted the hadang tradition and went on with it for our reception. Actually bukan leceh sangat pun.... it's just a matter of timing so guests won't "catch" us before the hadang.

Groom getting ready with the help of bestmen.... hahaha NOT! ni posing untuk gambar je. The one who helped making the "bunga" for the songket is Abg Khai (our photographer). hahahaha

HEHE. ni semua sempat je....

Walking down the aisle.... the feeling... gementar habis. hahah

Abang2 dah ready lah nak tempuh hadang....

1st Gate

2nd Gate

Denda : Joget

3rd Gate

Denda : Belanja satu lagu
He sang my fav song! macam tau aje kena nyanyi...

4th Gate

The Final Gate

Both families unite.

First, I gotta say that the deco was FAB! It is what I wanted and I was amazed at how beautiful it is. Well done Comel Molek.

The Hadangs were hilarious. First was my younger cousins, kena ketuk mintak duit. Then off to the next one with my cousin & aunt - lawn pantun, in the end the guys kalah and kena denda joget. Hahahah! Gotta see the video, kekek gila. Then moving on to the third one with my male cousins where he gotta sing before the can pass through. BEST lah macam ni. And out of all the songs he knew, he choose to sing my fav song! Haisss.. merdu lah suara you.... *insert shy mentel face* suka suka suka. Last hadang was with my bridesmaids where he was bombarded with questions. hahaha..

Oh oh, can I just say that WE LOVE LOVE the Kompang. My husband keep on saying, "bagus kan dorang". I couldn't agree more. We were both grinning at how good they are and trying to make our muka maintain face throughout. Akrab Kompang is the best!

So after all the hadangs and kompang performance, it was time to salam-salam the parents and photo taking session. Right after that, I start to feel hungry and YAY! Time to makan. but hey... not so fast k. you still gotta pose for pics when you're eating. Like this....

alalalalala..... sweet nye couple ni. HAHAHA...

So when all the photo taking / video taking is done, it is really time to makan! we gotta be fast coz we still gotta change to our last outfit. The food.... is so damn good! At that time I wished I was the guest so I can stuff myself with all the good food! Comel Molek, you did it again.

& finally the last one with our final outfit. Mr. Farhan, you're looking so damn fine. I instantly melt seeing him wear like that. That was his first and I'm glad that he's brave enough to do it. So proud, so proud.

Cake cutting time with my own baked wedding cake! YAY! I can't believe that I made my own wedding cake! 3 tiers with all different flavours!

Bottom tier - Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache.
Second tier - Coconut Cake with Cream Cheese frosting.
Top tier - Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting.

The nerve wrecking part is the transportation of the cake coz I was not there! I had to put my trust on my sisters and cousins and bridesmaids for that. Do you know how nervous I am? There was a slight mishap but it was covered, thankfully I had buttercreams and other tools prepared just in case. Since I can't be there to decorate the table, I asked my aunt (she's a baker too) for help. Cantik kan cake ku... HEHEHE.

Cake cutting done, photo taking done, video done and time to close the reception! Finally!

Towards the end of the day, we're both so damn tired with all the smiling and posing. We're like "Bila nak habis ni?" HAHAHA perangai. PENAT k. Really.

But putting that aside, we enjoyed every single moment throughout the whole day. We couldn't be happier surrounded with our loves ones, our best friends and relatives and our guests.

And taking this opportunity we both would like to thank every one who made it possible for our wedding to happen, not forgetting those who came to make it more lively. We're both grateful with all the help we got from both our families. To our vendors, thank you for making it the wedding we both had always wanted.

La Rosa Bridal - Andaman & Photography
Thank you Kak Ros and Abg Khai for the amazing experience. I fell in love with your outfit the first time I saw on IG and will always be. Thank you Kak Ros for making me the most beautiful bride and looking fab especially in that Elsa songket dress. Hehe.

Comel Molek - Catering & Deco & Venue Coordinator
Thank you Uncle Lan for making my dream came true. I didn't give specific instructions on how I want the deco to be, just colours and ideas and it came out fab! The food was absolutely delicious and so many of our relatives and guests compliments it.

Abang Diki & Rachel - Videography
Thank you to my cousin for agreeing with taking our wedding video. It came out perfect and it will soon be an annual thing for both Farhan & I to watch on our wedding anniversary.

Akrab - Kompang
You guys memang the best lah! Thank you for entertaining our guests with the beautiful kompang melody and performance.

Medialite - DJ
Thank you for entertaining our guests and making our event a lively one!

Finally, last lovey dove photo of us. :)

The Wedding Part 1

…the day that I’ve been waiting for. To be united as one with my love.

Who would’ve thought that we could get married one day?... and here we are after all those years, united as one, always and forever...

There were mixed feelings that morning, the wedding jitters. It hit me around an hour before the akad nikah. I can’t sit still and keep wondering what time we’ll be leaving the house. That heartbeat was insane; it kept getting worse once we step out of the house.
The moment I stepped out of the car and enter the mosque, I told myself, this is it. This is what you’ve been waiting for. Bismillah.

The usual routine kicks in when we meet our relatives, salam here and there, take photos and everybody was excited!

I’ve told my parents that I wanted to sit on the ground, the same level as my husband during the nikah; they agreed. And so, there’s always somebody in the family that will boss you around and die die wants you to listen to them. And yeah, it happened to me. Not my own relative but his. So his aunt told me to sit on the chair and I said politely that I want to sit on the ground. She keeps insisting me to sit on the chair. Like hello, aku nak kahwin ke kau? Like who’s gonna listen to you when you’re just a nobody to me right? So I just went on and sit on the ground and not bother about her. Ha ha. You don’t own me makcik.

And then, the kadi came… oh……my heartbeat keeps going dap dup dap dup very fast like a race car.

I knew that my father would give me away / nikahkan, so I’m mentally prepared (not so much on the emotional part though). The moment I heard my father’s voice saying, “Aku nikahkan kau bersama anak kandungku…” tears flowing down like a river. I can’t control myself. Nasib bridesmaid kat sebelah boleh tolong lap lap kan. Emo habis ok.

Then after all that jazz, it’s time to sign the documents. Just imagine eh, nak sign pun boleh nangis tau. Wth fiqah, asal emo sangat ni. Hahahah

It feels so surreal, being married. Alhamdullilah, the nikah went well.

We had a mini photo taking session and everyone head to SPGG for the reception and lunch. Stay tune for the next part...

//Photos taken by La Rosa

Some of the dulangs made by me. This one is from him to me.

and that is from me to him.

#frhnxfqh is One Month Old

people still think that he's too young to get married. I mean, come on, look at his face!
*slaps forehead

الحمد لله

We're married & we're a month old today.

Can you even believe it? I'm a married woman now. Wow. Someone's wife.

To be honest, I suka sangat. boleh pimpin, hug, kiss on the cheek/forehead coz tu suami I and the best part is all HALAL ok. seronok kan...... hehehe.

I should have updated this space long long ago but I did not. Guilty. Been so busy with everything and I finally got some time now at work to update something. Hehe.

I miss my wedding, every single thing about it. From the littlest thing to the most extreme end. seriously. I wish I could do it all over again.

Sitting at the side in the masjid while my father solemnize the nikah. Sitting on the dais waiting for him. Sitting on the dais together and people watch (well not really), taking photos, etc. Ok, it seems like there's a lot of sitting, but it really is. No matter what, I still want to do it all over again. This time round, less "stress" face and more cheerful smiling. Hahaha.. Smiling the whole day is no joke ok. Seriously cramp gila. & on another note, I will definitely choose the vendors I booked over and over again. They're the best. Not even a single thought of regret or disappointment for them!

Cannot wait to update more on the wedding itself! I get some proper photos first ok. My phone seriously tak guna coz there's no photos and my bridemaids, hello?? you all don't know how to help me take pictures isit? Hahaha

And there will be an update on my Hen's night. This is going to happen when I get some proper photos from one of my bridesmaid coz again, no photos on my phone. Gotta blame my bridesmaid again coz I can't use my phone the entire night (not really but most of the time!) Hahahaa!

and also, another update on my Honeymoon trip! this will be up after all wedding related stuff is done!

27

T W E N T Y - S EVEN  more days guyssss.... O-M-G

Can you believe it that it's only 27 days away till I'm someone's wife. I don't think I can ever get used to be called that. hahaha, opps, sorry fiancé.

It's been a hectic few months/weeks/days. When did I last blog? hmmm, somewhere in October, wait I check....... yep. October, 90 days away, that's like 64 days gone! Cepat pe!

So, fiancé and I have decided not to meet for the last 26 days (should have been 30 but oh wells). Pantang larang lah kononnye tapi yang ni kita sendiri yang buat. Short and simple. No meet ups. So we will miss each other more. Actually kan, dah biasa pun tau tak jumpa die. Remember when he left" me for 3 months? tu lagi teruk beb. Dapat whatsapp/whatsapp call/Skype call and the calls sometimes annoying nak mati coz connection lembab. so that one lagi teruk than this 26 days.

Most of the things is settled, just a few more things that I keep on procrastinate. you know, I rather watch my youtube videos than doing and thinking about wedding. hahaha. really. actually I keep seeing UK youtuber hauls so I know what to buy when I'm there! heh heh. Honeymoon lagi exciting dari wedding seh. kan kan kan.

Gift Trays - finishing up the paintings and finally visualize the whole concept I've been keeping in the back of my mind.

Wedding Cake - I think this is the most nerve-wrecking task. as you all know, I'm baking my own wedding cake. It's exciting but at the same time I keep worrying it will not turn out that well. I better have lower expectations of my own capability, no?

Box for Duit Salam - I know I can just grab A3 boxes at work and just wrap it with wrapping paper, but I choose not to coz mcm tkde standard. hahaha. Box pun kena ada standard eh? YA. I merepek like that. I have something in mind already. We shall see.

Bunga Rampai Holder - His side = done. He very senang coz he not leceh like me. Once again, I tk suka typical melayu kind of bunga rampai holders, so I cari sendiri what I want.

Itinerary - Done, left with few more touching up and ready to sent to vendors.

Candy Corner - Status : Pending

Photobooth - I have yet to check out the place again (ugh, I am hopeless). Need to check again where is the place so I could plan the whole photobooth area.

Bridesmaids - I have THREE! Planning of meeting the three of them soonest to discuss the details and I'm thinking of doing a thank you box for them; basic essentials for that day and some snacks! Maybe I should do something similar for the bestmans too.

Room - Clearing up bit by bit and it's getting there! Also, I can't believe the amount of clothes that we threw away (ok, donated). seriously like a lot. And most of the jeans I can't fit anymore! I just bought them last year and I'm the kind of person who can wear the jeans for years. so this just proves another point. I really did gain. Don't even mention the belly fat. nauzubilllahminzalik. memang dah confirm plus chop kena pakai corset. buruk kan, orang kurus tapi perut boncit. hahahahahaha.....

I seriously can't believe it that is only a matter of days till a change of status. I keep thinking to myself, what kind of a wife will I be? Am I going to be the same Fiqah or a changed Fiqah. I never know. Time will pass and I guess people change as it pass by. I might be a better version of the old Fiqah (Insyallah, ameen).

I keep thinking to myself how will I be at someone else's house? How will I survive in a different household? It's never the same. One thing for sure, I will miss my nenek and atuk more than ever. I lived with them my whole life and to think that I will be seeing them every once a week... it's kinda heart-breaking.

but hey, a new life = a new chapter right? Insyallah I will be fine, Insyallah.

Fiqah

90

Doubts = cleared

I've been ranting on how bad I want to meet my vendor for both catering and décor the other day. Well fret not, I've already met him and had my doubts and questions cleared! We decided to meet at the venue itself and brought along our parents with us. It was a great discussion, coz the parents were able to clear their questions as well and were happy with the location, food and the drafted floor plan. Remember the other time when I was asked to do the sirih dara/junjung and bunga pahar, after the meet up sesh, mom said that I don't have to do it! Yay! Thanks to Uncle Lan  (my vendor for both food n décor) for saying that it is all adat, and even if we wanna have them, it has to match the décor if not, it will ruin the whole look (which I totally agree). so yay for not having them for my dulangs! not a necessary item, so why put so much pressure on it right?

Can you believe that it's already a two digit countdown? I can't, I definitely can't. exactly 90 more days and I'm very sure I still have a few other things that is not done. Been procrastinating for quite some time now and I really have to get down on it soon.

Kain is already sent to the tailor's, so one item is checked off the dulang list. Since my fiancé is going to Saudi next week and have a few days to spare before he gets his work pass, I told him to look for any nice sejadah and Al-Quran for our dulang. Mana lah tau ada yang cantik-cantik punya kat sana kan.

Talking about dulang, I've yet to print the placecards. I've already did some designs and still sourcing where to print it.

Oh, the bunga rampai too! I've yet to buy the holder for it!

Let's side track a lil bit; here's me and the Mr at ROMM the other day. We've already "passed" the interview and currently can't wait to get married yo! hahaha!

Wanna know something?
.
.
.
We've yet to buy our wedding rings. :x

Wanna know something else?
.
.
.
I don't want to start packing my clothes/things to move to his house, not even when the date is nearing. The nearer the date is, the more I don't want to. The thought of me staying there already instantly kills me inside. What if I just can't adjust with the living environment there? What if I keep comparing the living lifestyle with my own home till I can't take it and go crazy? Why do people think that it will be alright to stay with your in-laws? They kept saying things like "ala, sekejap je tinggal setahun kat sana" "bukan lama pun satu tahun". Like hello, yang tinggal tu aku ke kau seh. Cakap memang senang but not you who go through it. And before you can say why don't rent a house instead, I would definitely love to, but after calculating the budget, we decided not to coz we still have to save up for our upcoming house. Things are not cheap nowadays, honey. I wish I could rant out more here, but just to be safe, I better not. You never know who will read this blog, and if they see I'm bitchin' bout them, I am definitely not safe.

Somehow I feel that one day I will blog about : How to live with your in-laws. :x

Do you what is sad? Going for a fitting without your fiancé. why do you have to overseas when I need you most?

107

I knew it and I should’ve seen it coming. Remember the last time when I said that I’m not doing both Sirih Dara and Junjung? Boy, I was wrong. I thought my parents were better than this, but no, they insist. I obviously argued and they were like, “tak nak takpe, aku cakap aje” with that kind of super disappointing tone. I mean come on lah, you’ve got to support me (morally) not bring it down. And knowing how upset my mother is coz I never listen to her, I gave in. I’m doing it and it has to be DIY-ed. Out of budget is one thing, but the vendor I want to sign on is already fully booked. So might as well, do it myself.

And then after that drama, another drama about the no of dulangs or rather what we’re giving to each other. Both of us have already decided on 3 and that is –

1) Ring + Duit Hantaran(his)
2) Al Quran + Sejadah
3) Tailored Baju or Kain

Dah kirakan ok lah tu. Ni tak. “Abeh tkde ke manis-manisan, cake ke?” Seriously?!?! Asdfghjkl
I don’t even want to start on this coz there is something much more important that is bugging me all these while. It stresses me out like you can never imagine. I don’t know why but it just does. Both play a huge role in my wedding and I can never let it screw anything up. For the longest time I’ve been wanting to meet my vendor for both Catering and Décor. Both of it comes from one vendor which is great! So I kept bugging my fiancé to make an appointment with them coz he handles the décor and catering part and I’ve yet to get a fixed date for the appointment. There’s like endless of questions and doubts and enquiries and it bugs me out till I get an answer for all of it. Like, can I get an extra table for the door gifts coz it’s a combined wedding and we cannot share a table. Oh no no. Danger, Berbahaya. Dah lah combine wedding, tkkn nak combine meja berkat pulak kan. Melampau tu kak oi. Not a risk I’m willing to take. Maybe also another table for candy corner if I decided to have it. Will there be kendarats? What time will the food be ready? Can we (parents) see the venue the day before during their set up? Is it safe if we leave the door gifts the day before? And the list never ends. I should have definitely do my research before and ask them during the very last appointment but I did not. Ugh whyyyyy.. BTBs, please prepare a list of questions whenever you are setting up an appointment before you engage any vendor. Don’t be like me. Main dengar aje, ah ye oh ye ke then terus skrg panic macam orang tak betul. Ugh. Please vendor, I have trust in you, please don’t let me down. Just reply us already and fix the appointment date.

Let's jump into a more happier note. Already fix an appointment with my bridal and by that time my customized nikah baju will be ready for fitting. Heh heh heh. Excited sangat2 ni (eventhough it is not 100% completed) still! Excited please!

Henna is booked! Yay! Cards done! Yay! Car booked! Yay!

Tmr off to ROMM interview! Yay!

OMG. 107 days left.

133 days

How time flies. It seems like it was just yesterday that we talked about our engagement and starting to plan the wedding. At first I thought I would like it, the planning, but boy I was wrong. I absolutely hate planning coz I have a habit of planning it in my head and execute it immediately. But definitely not this one, it is so frustrating. Especially when you can’t get what you want and I know some of us are not blessed with that kind of life, but come on. It’s my wedding; shouldn’t I get what I want? No?

Well, someday, eventually I have to accept the fact that we can’t always get what we want. So moving on, so far most of checklist is ticked off. Left a few other minor things that needs to get done with.

Venue
Nikah - initially I wanted to do it at home coz I think it’s more memorable but thinking of cleaning the mess after that, just a no no. Besides, I have to clean up the whole house and rearrange the furniture to make space and I’m definitely not keen on that. My house is not that big and it’s going to be so stuffy with I don’t know how many guests who will be attending the Nikah. With that, we changed the venue and decided to do it at the Sanding venue instead which is SPGG. We had everything planned perfectly and even booked our kadi and putting the Nikah address at SPGG. Thinking that we could use the venue from morning (since the other time when we meet the person-in-charge, saying that we could use the venue from morning) Little did I know (somehow I felt a lil bit off thinking of it) after asking my vendor and he said that we have to top up another $450 if we want to use it before 11. Seriously? Like w-t-f. He said that the management has changed and even the cost went up. PANIC! Nikah is at 10 and let’s say if we use it from 9.30; we still have to top up that $450, as long as we use it before 11am. Four hundred freaking fifty dollars. That’s day robbery!! Seriously damn effed up.

And so, we have to think of another venue for Nikah and we decided to do it in the Mosque. Lagi mulia and even if I have to pay $450, I would gladly do it coz it’s a derma to the masjid and dapat pahala lagi. Lagi lagi mulia dan berkat kalau nikah kat masjid pun. The good thing about nikah at masjid is that we don’t have to pay a certain amount. The amount is Ikhlas, tak kira berapa sikit or banyak nak kasi pun, yang penting ikhlas. Tapi takkan lah kasi $10 -$20 lah kan. It’s a relief that both our sides agreed to have our nikah in the masjid coz previously there were issues but I shall not put it here. I rest my case on that. Hahaha. About which mosque, we decided to go with Mujahidin. But I was thinking of Tentera coz it’s nearer to both my house and SPGG. We shall see. As for now, mosque shall be our Nikah venue.

Catering/Décor
Have yet to meet them for discussion and hell I do have lots and lots of enquiries for them. Need to clear my endless doubts asap.

Bridal/Photography
Already met up with my vendor to discuss, took measurements and choose the colour for my Nikah outfit. In case you’re wondering, yes, I am customizing my Nikah outfit. Hehehe… Tak sabar! That’s the only thing I’m excited about. I hope it comes out like what I’ve imagined. We actually meet Kak ros early for measurement s coz my Mr. is always missing. He likes to stay at foreign land for god knows how long. Hahaha. It’s his job scope, so what can I even do right. Redha aje. Chey. She even showed us some of the on the rack collections and I’ve already put my eye on something blue. Photography wise, there’s nothing much to discuss except for handing them the event itinerary. Both MUA and photographer is husband and wife so there’s nothing for me to worry about.

Sirih Dara/ Sirih Junjung/ Bunga Pahar
Decided not to have these as its just adat and it represent nothing in Islam, so what for right. I could save those extra bucks for other wedding things. Bunga pahar – no idea yet. Prolly not having those too.

Berkat
After so damn long of discussing and thinking and searching, we’re back to square one and decided with jams. We thought of endless things, every possible berkat-worthy items, edible or non edible. Jams are still my number one choice and it’s so darn cute! Those mini jars. Argh, so cute! We finally made our order and waiting of the invoice to place our deposit.

Bouquet
Wanted to DIY but I’m just lazy to and ordered instead. Placed the deposit and imam happy girl! Mr. even approves of my choice of bouquet so that’s a PLUS!

Gift Trays
This, I have to DIY. I already have a vision and a plan on how I want it to look like, so I’ll do it, for the both of us. With what happened for the engagement, I can never put my trust in him doing the dulang. Just no. Sorry Mr. My trays are better than yours. Haha!

Wedding Cake
I could’ve ordered this but I did not. I.AM.GOING.TO.MAKE.MY.OWN.WEDDING.CAKE. yep. You heard that. No fondant cakes coz I despise it, even though it looks nice, I just can’t. It’s all about the Naked Cakes baby! I’m going with two tiers and talking about this, I've got to order the topper for the cake. Oh, I made a trial cake, sitting in my fridge now, just waiting for the taste test. Heh.

So darn pretty righttttttttttt..... so in love with naked wedding cakes. Simple, clean and fresh. and I prefer it with fresh fruits instead of flowers.

I think there’s more. Couldn’t remember what else. Hmm…

Oh! We went ring hunting! Hehehe. So so exciting! I get to try diamond rings! Those pretty ones which I knew I couldn’t get. My eyes are filled sparkling joy while his is filled with sparkling dollar signs. Hahaha! There’s so many rings that I liked but to find that one ring that I love, is not easy. The search continues…

with more updates soon.

Fiqah

Seven.

Less than 7 months to the wedding and it scares the hell out of me.

It seems like there are endless list of things to do/source/book and I hate it so much. I seriously don’t understand why some BTB love all these planning. The only thing on my mind is to quickly get over it. Hahaha.

Also, I’ve been MIA for far too long.

Well, let’s recap with whatever I can remember (events not in sequence)

1) It’s already been a year since a) we became engaged, b) me donning the hijab.

2) I appeared in Suria for Jus Cook-off – such an interesting experience, cooking with cameras surrounding you, it was great overall. And I won, obviously. Haha :P

3) I am more attached to my work now, doing OTs and coming back on Saturdays and even Sunday (well, it was one time only, heh).

4) Was overwhelmed by the number of orders that came in last month, it was really a good month huh May. Alhamdulillah for the blessings.

5) Went to Marriage Course (Kasih Sejati) and got our certs! Dah boleh kahwin dah~~~ Truthfully, I think it’s a bit too early to go, IMO. But had too coz he’ll be constantly travelling out of the country for projects and the schedules are not fixed. And the duration is about 1 month minimum. :(

Well, I guess that’s about it. I can’t trackback the events at the moment.

Moving on to wedding preps, there is still a long list of things to settle. I know, forever procrastinate, FOREVER. Seriously ah, and truthfully, I MALAS nak plan the wedding. It’s like too overwhelming and I just don’t like it. Liaise with this person, that person, got to check if fits the budget, schedule etc etc.. so the leceh lah kan. Paling tak best sekali is the budget, semua kena fit the budget. Hahah.. And he will constantly reminding me of that and track my savings and expenditure so that we save enough. Yup, I like to spend, on FOOD especially.

Oops, dah side track sikit dah

Things to do (as for now):

1)    Source out small mason/glass jars for berkat : I’m planning to DIY my own berkat but finding these jars annoys me. I can’t seem to find a reasonable price and size. Should I find an alternative packaging? Oh, got to source out for tags too!

2)    Design my Nikah outfit :Yup, no design yet but I got a few ideas. I want a soft and flowy dress, white of course, and look as though it was a gift from heaven. Heh heh. :P

3)    Order Invitation Cards : Well, this one is already sponsored by his father! Hehe, Alhamdulillah, thank you Abah. What we have to do is to pick a design and provide the details and his father place the order in Indonesia. His father works there and he got his connections.

4)    Do research for honeymoon destination : Part ni, I suka sangat. Hahah.. Siapa yang tak suka travel kan? Already have a destination in mind but still doing some research coz the it will still be winter season and it seems that most of the reviews says that it will be dull. It is certain we’re going there but we’ll work around and plan the activities to do.

5)    Staycation after wedding : Yay for this, coz he over excited and booked a room already. Talk about mad kanchiong. Super kanchiong lor.. it is a nice place and I can’t wait! The bathtub, awesome gila lah k. Am already planning to buy lots of bath bombs. Nak rendam kat dalam bathtub 3 hari 2 malam ah kat sana. Hahaha..

6)    Choose theme colour for family/close relatives/bridesmaids: Parents in Deep Lavender and siblings in Lilac. As for my grandparents I can’t seem to find a colour that will not look dull on them. I was thinking of cream, or maybe towards a darker cream perhaps. Close relatives, part ni susah sikit, semua tk sama kepala. I need to choose a ground colour, that fits everyone. Maybe blush colour? A pastel-ly blush colour? And for my bridesmaids, a light silver/grey colour, a softer tone.
well, something like this.

7)    Wedding Car/ Car : definitely have to look into this, coz we don’t have any car of our own to transport us here and there during the wedding itself. And the wedding venue is not under the block or nearby CC. so definitely need a car. As for wedding car, I want a nicer looking one, (actually I don’t want to use his grandfather’s car.. L). Confirm this one, he not happy lah. Sigh.

8)    Choosing bridesmaids : Yeap, planning the outfit but haven’t chosen the person itself. Well done. I’ve already asked my bff, and she agreed (last time I checked). So I’m going to ask her again and another 2 more coz he wanted to have 3 groomsmen and wanted to have an equal no for both sides. -.-“

9)    Wait for 150 days mark to register. I think this part, after dah book, I confirm kanchiong gila lah. Banyak benda belum settle ni.

10)  Lose the belly fat and take care of my skin. Yes I do have belly fat and it’s getting worse right now. Ape tak, dah makan lunch, terus tido. Got to buck up ah Fiqah. Drinking lots of water now and putting more masks. I want clear skin, smooth like a baby’s bum. Oh tak eh?

Like a lot of things to do je. Kan? Adoi, malas nyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…………

Kk, got to get back to work now. Manusia mana OT  hari Saturday sampai 5.45? Aku.

Clarifications

so, on my previous post, I've said that I was stressed out about my Bridal coz I haven't been seeing updates from their social media sites. And I failed to mentioned that things have changed since that post.

I just want and have to clarify something which hopefully benefit both me and the bridal. I don't want BTBs or anyone to think the wrong way just because they misinterpreted what I post previously.

So... I've just received a call from my Bridal and she was updating me on her new bridal outfits and telling me that some of her customers came to her after reading my blog, some even booked her as their bridal (which is a good thing, Alhamdulillah). Well, the bad thing is this... someone mentioned to her that I said on my blog that the Bridal I booked cheated my money. That is obviously so not true. N to the O, NO. They never cheat my money and what I said was purely a saying out of my stressful state of mind.

"It is not that I’m saying they’re cheating out of our money (hopefully not)" >> this is what I posted. Maybe some misinterpreted it, but it is just not right. You've got to check around first before saying anything to anyone. You can even ask me personally with what is going on.

I should have listened to my fiancé who have been telling me to yakin in whatever you do or decide, and to always think positively. He always believed in the vendors we chose. If I had listened, this wouldn't had happen right?

But Alhamdulillah, everything is fine. I feel so so terrible after hearing this and I never wish this to happen even. Honestly I never expect anyone to read this blog because, I've been seeing my own view section or whatever it is called and it was ZERO most of the time. Mehhh....

I apologise for the misunderstandings. And I sincerely apologise to my bridal for the negativity thoughts people had towards them.

SO PLEASE PEOPLE.... DONT MISINTERPRET ANYTHING OK???

The power of social media... haisssssss.....

Stressed out?

And it’s been months since I last blogged. Oh well, lazy girl is a lazy girl after all. New Year only means that I have exactly a year to prepare. A FREAKING ONE YEAR TO MY WEDDING! How exciting is that? Not. But seriously, a year? Well, now it’s already less than a year coz January is ending soon.

So far most of the major vendors are secured. But I’m still stressing out on the berkats. My initial idea was Honey but it was over our budget and changed to Jams instead. Then again, the Jams might be too small and you know how guests normally are. “eh, keciknye berkat die” seriously if I ever hear that kind of comment, nak kena mintak sepak aje. Like hello, it is suppose to be a berkat and just take it lah. Kan? My parents thought it was too small *smacks forehead* and if I were to increase the qty to 2 it will definitely out of our budget. And so I stuck till then. My uncle suggested a pocket sejadah, good idea but can’t find it through the all-amazing google, which means gotta travel down to JB. Also, we both decided to give out the same berkats so that when purchased in bigger quantities, the price will be slightly cheaper. Even a hundred mean ALOT now.

The next thing up on my stress list is Videography. This has got us arguing all the time whenever I bring it up. The main reason for having a video taken on our wedding day is to capture the moment. Yes true, photos are able to capture moments but not like the videos. I wanna see how we both look on that day, how I reacted or how nervous or calm during akad nikah. So what about chucking it one side after watching it once. There will be times when you feel down and you just wanna watch it again or when you’re fighting with each other and it could be a reminder how we both got together. Right? He is still against it coz of budget (as usual) but I will not give up. I even enquired my cousin (who does photography and videography full time I think). Hopefully he gets back to me asap so I could book him. Heh heh. I don’t mind forking out my own cash (not the wedding savings) to have a video. I am that determined.

And the last thing (for now) on my stress list is Bridal. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but the bridal I booked is not the well known bridal as we all know. It was a risk but I did it. It is not that I’m saing they’re cheating out of our money (hopefully not). It’s just that I don’t see any updated on their social media – Facebook, Instagram and Website. It just got me worried but I wanna hope for the best and I really hope they’re not like the other vendors who leave their client behind. Insyaallah it will be fine.
